One Hand Clapping

What is the sound of one hand clapping?

We have welcomed in a new year, a clean slate on which to document the story of our lives with renewed fervor and purpose. We approach this genesis with expectations high, our fingerprints filed down to an indecipherable blank, our accounts of futility orphaned at the doorstep of a rotating number, our penitent hearts embracing the innocence of a new age. We are prepared to pioneer the remainder of our existence with incorruptible dedication and vision, foregoing the temptations of a past that is continually deficient in its pursuit of perfection. We endeavor to live in the untarnished ‘now’ and never betray it with defective rationale or sullied proposition.

I wish you all good fortune in this regard. I offer my blessings, as I petition yours, in the continued journey of our lives together here in the only Eden we have ever known, the planet of our birth and, presumably, the gantry of our resurrection. I propose this resurrection not in the dogmatic sense, but in the continuance of a lifeline that is alien to non-existence. If we are to survive beyond this realm, let us build a clear, sturdy path of intent that will recommend our enterprise of the flesh and serve as a vital marker in our development of the spirit. I prefer a graceful transition for, as you know, a deft segue is always appreciated.

What, then, is the sound of one hand clapping? Why, it is writing a blog that no one will read!
